DELETED SCENES
A lot goes into making a film, even a short one. From what started out as a
spoof on Fight Club, it ended up being about a bunch of guys who like to get
together to fight like girls! A lot was filmed that one day we shot this with
references to David Fincher's 'Fight Club' which were all cut. Here are those
scenes that were painfully cut. Everything here was completely improvised by
everyone involved, all I had to do was capture it. My apologies to all who found themselves NOT in the film, but watch these deleted scenes and then watch the final cut of the film. Then you'll see that the choices that I had to make were
the right ones.
DELETED SCENE ONE - ANIL & JAMES
There weren't enough fights filmed that day because everyone had to be somewhere else that day. Here's what would have been there if more guys and more fights were filmed.
DELETED SCENE TWO - JAMES'S CHALLENGE
When James starts his challenge in the film he had a longer speech improvised. I really liked what he was making up but had to cut it down because of time. This is the first half of the speech and parts of it are used in the film but it really looked like this first.
DELETED SCENE THR33 - JAMES PICKS THE FIRST FIGHT
I really hated cutting this out because Anil here improvised a really REALLY funny response to James picking who would fight first. I really liked the angles and loved how Anil responded but it slowed things down too much and didn't fit the pace with the rest of the film.
This was one of those things that was shot that day in order to properly spoof "Fight Club", but was deleted due to the fact that all actual spoofs to actual scenes from "Fight Club" had to be deleted, This was one of the first casualties.
This was yet ANOTHER actual spoof on a scene from "Fight Club" that had to be cut. An actual gunshot sound and digital bullet hole was going to be placed into the scene but was unfortunately cut.
DELETED SCENE 6IX - CIGARETTE SMOKING WOMAN
My friend Mel showed up to pick up Laszlo and quickly I had her smoke and wear my shades spoofing Helena Bonham-Carter from "Fight Club". It obviously didn't fit the rest of the film but at least I had the luxury of at least having the scene .
DELETED SCENE SE7EN - END OF THE DAY...
One of the last things shot showing what would typically happen at the end of a day of attending Fight Like A Girl Club. I really hated cutting this out because everyone improvised all of the actions and dialogue. All I did was point the camera. I apologize to everyone involved in this scene but as you can tell from the final cut, it was unnecessary within the context of the film.
DELETED SCENE 8IGHT - WHO WOULD YOU FIGHT?
Yet another scene where we were spoofing the scene between Tyler and "Jack" as they discussed who they would fight from the 60's but we did it our way. The Fight like a Girl Club way. The main reason why this scene was cut was because I actually fed James his line and you can hear me talk. I screwed up a great scene. Shoot me...
